Requesting an Ad Hoc Salary Change


Navigation: Main Menu > HCM > Manager Self Service > Compensation and Stock > Request Ad Hoc Salary Change

 

Purpose: Use this transaction to request an employee ad hoc salary change in PeopleSoft Manager Self Service.


Steps:

  1. The Effective Date populates to the nearest Sunday but it can be changed when necessary.

     

    However, please note all ad hoc salary requests must have an effective date of Sunday, otherwise an error message will display.

    Step 1
  2. Click the Ad Hoc Salary Change option.

  3. Click the Continue button.

  4. Click the Select button to the right of the appropriate employee name.

  5. On the Position Data page, enter the change percent or change amount to the current pay rate. Tab out of the field to see the calculated New Pay Rate.

     

    Finally, enter any necessary comments and click the Submit button when your change is complete.

  6. In this example, you will enter a change percent.

     

    Click in the Change Percent field.

  7. Enter the desired information into the Change Percent field. Enter

     a valid value
     e.g.
     "10"
    .

  8. Notice, the Change Amount and New Pay Rate fields have updated.

  9. Click the Submit button.

  10. A message displays asking you to confirm the action. Click Yes to continue with the submit or click No to cancel the request.

     

    Click the Yes button.

  11. A message displays stating that your request is successfully submitted. Click OK to acknowledge the message.

     

    Click the OK button.

  12. Click the vertical scrollbar.

  13. The request is routed for approval based on a predefined workflow. An Approval section displays at the bottom of the page with the status of the approvals and names of the approvers.

     

    After all approvals are obtained, your request is processed.

Congratulations! You have requested an ad hoc salary change in PeopleSoft MSS.
